Good morning all. I thought I would give some updates on stuff.

First of all, my son Anthony is recovering very well from his car accident. His femur is healing great and he should be back to work sometime in April.

I went for counseling yesterday and I was told that I may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder! All because of my first husband. It is so amazing to me how certain people can affect your life like that. Anyway, I think there is hope for me yet. :)

So, I have been trying to start taking the chewable vitamins to prepare myself when I have surgery. All I can say is "fark, they are so nasty". I mean I am gagging. I have tried a couple of different ones too. But yesterday I found Viactive Multi Vitamins! I have not seen these before so I thought I would share. They are just like the calcium chews and I don't gag. Thank you, thank you!

I joined the gym yesterday and I am going to Zumba tonight! I am very excited and I hope I can make it through the class in one piece!

Hope you all have a great day,

Miss Vickie

Miss Jane Ass

Happy Saturday night everyone! I haven't posted in a few days so I wanted to check in. I have been working for the Census Bureau the last couple of weeks and things are starting to get busy. My husband got home yesterday from a 10 day trip to MD for work. We went to the beach but it was down right cold! I think we only lasted about an hour. Oh well, maybe next weekend.

I decided to post some pictures of my little Yorkie Poo I named Jane Ass. It is kind of a family joke-the opposite of a Jack Ass. I call her Jane in public though! She is only 2 1/2 and is quite a funny little dog. She keeps me company when my John has to travel for work. Most of the time her name suits her, let me tell you! But I love her so much.

Have a good Sunday,

Miss Vickie

Counseling.....Here I come!

So, I had my 4th diet and nutrition appointment yesterday. I also had my follow up psychology appt. I have decided to go for some counseling so I don't screw up this band and weight loss thing.

The first time I was married I was only 17 and we had a baby. We were both very young and my parents had just divorced and my mom moved to AZ. I was in VA. The ex was very controlling and verbally abusive especially about my weight. I was a straight A student in high school, but I had to drop out due to the pregnancy. I took the GED and missed the math by 2 points......I loathe math. Anyway, the ex said he didn't know I was so stupid.....mind you, I used to do his college homework for him. I waited 10 years to go back and try again, I was terrified I would fail again but somehow I passed.

Of course there were lots of digs about my weight even though I had 4 kids in 7 years. I had them all by the time I was 24. You know the "had to go to Omar the tent maker" for her clothes. He hurt me a lot and eventually we divorced after he had an affair. My dad used to make some not so nice remarks too. Why are some men such jack asses?

So, I need to find a way to stop the old voices I hear in my head all of the time. I want to succeed with the band and I am so excited and ready for it. My 2nd husband, John is so amazing and kind and supportive. I mean he married me when I was 210lbs! He has never seen me at a normal weight and I can hardly weight to show him. It is unbelievable to me how I allow people to continue to hurt me even when I divorced the jackass 15 years ago! I am really looking forward to getting these issues resolved once and for all. I think I should start now to give me a good head start before surgery.

For me, I think the counseling and the band will go hand in hand. I know there are lots of issues I have that have contributed to my weight gain over the years. I want to get it right this time!

Surgery is over! (My son's)

Thank you for all of your prayers today. My son, Anthony just got out of surgery and is recovering well. It was very difficult to not be there but it helps to know others are praying for him too. Thank you, thank you.

Miss Vickie

Please pray for my son.

This is Anthony with my grand daughter, Liviana. He is her Godfather.

My oldest son, Anthony was involved in a terrible car accident yesterday in Phoenix, AZ. He is going in for surgery today to repair his femur with steal rods. I live in Florida and I have started a new job and can't leave right now. He is 33 years old and is such a sweetheart and he needs all the prayers he can get. I knew my blogging buddies could help with that. A little prayer goes a long way. I know he will be fine but I feel awful that can't be there.

I will be sure to post his recovery as he heals. Thank you all so much.

Achoo!!! I feel lousy......:(

This is me in May 2009. I am feeding my Grandson, Nicolas. I hate this picture because I really thought I looked okay, but alas I look huge! I am still about this size now. It can only get better from here....:)

Well, I guess the pollen has finally invaded my head. I have been trying so hard not to get sick, but to no avail. I am working temporarily for the Census Bureau and have been in a training class all week. Thankfully, they let me come home today because they said I looked awful! That's okay, I do look awful. So...I am going to make some homemade chicken soup and put my jammies back on and chill for the day.

I have my 4 month diet and nutrition appointment next Wednesday. I think I even lost a little weight! I have been trying to be conscious of what I cram in my mouth everyday and I think that has helped. Anyway, I am only about 2 months away from my surgery. Now I am starting to worry about being approved. I hope all goes well in that department.

I hope all of you have a great weekend. My husband should be home from Maryland on Sunday. I sure hope I feel better by then.
