WWYD

Is it okay to call the surgeon's office after a week since the paperwork has been submitted? Each day I am dying a little more. I want to call and talk to Miss Amanda but I don't want her to think I am a pain in the ass.....which I can be at times. They have "penciled" me in for May 24th. It's getting close and I still have 3 appointments ( pre-op and such) before that.

So, what would you do?

  1. I would ring - rather risk them thinking you're a pain than have them forget about you.

  2. I would call. Of course if you follow me, you know I am dying to call. My surgeons office thanked me for keeping on top of things. Have you called and talked to insurance? I don't feel so bad calling them because you get a different person each time. Good luck!

  3. I called my insurance every day. I kept it light and said things like, "I know I am probably driving you crazy, but..."

Of course, that was all for nothing because as soon as I got the clearance, the woman who schedules surgery in my surgeon's office took a week off. Yep. A week. She was supposed to be back today and you know I'll be calling her first thing in the morning!!

  4. Okay, I went ahead and called my insurance company. The paperwork was faxed last Wednesday. She said it is in review and if all the paperwork was in order, I should hear very soon!!!!!! Thanks guys!
