Wow! I have made it!

I actually feel like  a human being today.  Many thanks for all of your comments and insight.  A special thank you to Tessierose who gave me hope on the phone yesterday!  I have never met her but I felt I could call and cry and ask her advice.  I was right.  She made me feel so much better.

I slept well and I have no more nausea or heartburn.  The gas pains have subsided and I actually sipped some very creamy cream of wheat this morning.

I was beginning to feel like a loser because I felt like I was hit by a truck!  Ellen and Janice seemed to bounce right back without a hitch.  It just goes to show how all of us are so different.  Maybe it is my age, 50.  I don't know, but for those of you getting banded soon, take heart.  Everyone is different.  Don't let my experience scare you!

Thanks again for all of your kind words.  It means the world to me!

Miss Vickie

  7. Happy to hear you're feeling better. If there's one thing I've noticed in these blogs, is that everyone really is so different - from the preop diets and surgery recover to weight loss rates.

  8. Everyone is different in this journey for sure. You are doing fine. I didn't plan to do much for a few days and I'm rockin' that goal. Read three books, saw a movie, rented a movie, walked some each day...

I'm your age, 50, soon to be 51 this summer. I had cream of wheat for breakfast too. Starting to be able to eat a smidge more, but I do feel up quick. I never knew I would get excited about tomato soup with a couple of sprinkles of melted shredded cheese. :)

Glad to hear you feel better today. Mostly what I feel is sore/tender incisions (not really a bother if I'm not moving much), but bending down or twisting to reach something can be a nuisance. Hang in there on this roller coaster ride. Once we get thru this section, we have band inferno to look forward to. :) Have a wonderful weekend and know I'm thinking of you.
