The Hubbs and The Weekend

My husband John,  has been working out of the country since this past Sunday.  He will be gone for 6-8 weeks and we will not have the luxury of communication everyday as we would like.  I already miss him so much.  He travels quite a bit for work and you would think we were used to it....not so much.  He is always so supportive of whatever I do.  I simply adore him     :)

This weekend I will be traveling to New York City with my daughter, Crystal.  We are going to Kleinfelds' From " Say Yes To The Dress" to find her wedding dress!  She and her fiance, Vinny have a gorgeous daughter named Liviana.  I am so happy for them.  They make me a very proud mama and nonna!

I am so happy I took my measurements the day before surgery.  It has been 2 months and I have lost 25 pounds and 5 inches from my hiney, 2 inches from my waist and bust.  I have been working very hard with Water Aerobics, swimming and lots and lots of Zumba!  I actually look forward to going to the gym!  So,  who am I, and where the hell is Miss Vickie?  I think I have finally made a lifestyle change and it feels damn good!  I really do love my band!

Amy W. and I attended a Zumbathon in Pensacola, FL.  It was held to help support the Wildlife Refuge.  We had 2 classes lasting 45 minutes each.  It was a lot of fun and it was so nice to see Amy again.  Here are the before class pictures and the aftermath!

Whoa is me with Actigall. Blech!!!!!!

I was prescribed Actigall after surgery to ward off potential problems with my gall bladder.  I am supposed to open the capsule and mix with applesauce or something twice a day, for 6 months.   Let me tell you, I almost vomit each time I try.  It is gritty and bitter tasting.  Does anyone else have to take this pill?  If so, please share with me how you manage to take it.  I can barely get all of my vitamins and medicine consumed in one day as it is.

I know Amy W. was prescribed the same medication and to my knowledge has only taken it once.   Now I understand why!

Thanks all,

Miss Vickie

Ahhhh, Sweet Relief! And NSV's!

Thank you all for the support!  You guys are the best!  I guess the nurse forgot to ask me to take a drink yesterday before I left.  Anyway,  I am just fine now.  He took 1cc out and I sat and drank a whole cup of water.  I have no idea how much is actually in my band.  He does not like to discuss numbers.  He says to concentrate on the band and not the numbers.  I just asked him to take it slow on the fills.

I also had a few NSV's while I was in AZ.  I actually had about 8 inches left of my seat belt on the plane, and I was able to cross my legs!  My daughter was so excited to see me.  I have not seen her in 6 months.  She said I felt smaller when she hugged me.  She also said my hands felt smaller and my feet looked smaller too!  It was interesting though how my sister in law, who knew I had surgery, never asked or made a comment about my weight loss or the surgery.  People are very interesting.

Here is a picture of my beautiful daughter, Crystal and my grand daughter, Liviana.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!!!!!

Well, the good thing is that I was able to see my family in Arizona.  I was also lucky enough to meet a fellow Bandster....Jen!  She is beautiful and I felt like I knew her already!

The bad is that I went for my first fill today.  The doctor did not have me sip water before I left, so I took a drink in the car on the way home and.....I threw up 5 times before I got home.  Good lord, that was really bad.  Thank goodness I had gone shopping and I had some plastic bags to throw up in.  Yuck.  I am calling tomorrow to get some taken out because I cannot drink anything.......hence I'm starving!

The ugly is that I still look like a linebacker in pictures and I still have a double chin!!!!!  I still have a long way to go, but the doctor said I am doing excellent!

I will catch up on all of your blogs this week.  I have missed you so much.
