Dixie Grace

Well, after driving 8 hours in ice and snow through Mississippi. we rescued Dixie from a shelter.  She is a 2 year old beautiful and sweet Rottweiler.  We had a Rottie named Kona for 8 years and she passed away 4 years ago.  We have missed her so much.  We found Dixie on Petfinder.com and I think she will be an awesome dog.

Our other dog is a 3 year old YorkiePoo, named Jane, who is not the least impressed.  I'm sure over time, they will be best friends.  Jane needs to stop sneering and showing her teeth first!

On the band front, I will be getting a much needed fill on Thursday.  I hope to lose more weight by walking Dixie a lot!

  1. Awww, I want so smoosh Dixie's face and give her lots of kisses (can you tell I'm a crazy dog person?)

Poor Jane, though. She's so put-upon.

  7. I have a rescued yorkie-poo and though he's very sweet to me, and shy most of the time, he can be a pill around other dogs. But I love him. He's such a SnuggleBug.

  10. Congrats on your new family member-Dixie has that happy thankful rescue dog look, and I'm sure she and Jane will become friends fast-as soon as Jane realizes Dixie isn't going to eat her food or her! ;-)

  11. It is always the little ones who act aggressive with the bigger ones! What a cutie she is, and so shiny!
